Mission & Vision
TEAMability is a non-profit, San Antonio based organization, founded and designed solely for the purpose of improving opportunities for individuals with severe, combined disabilities. Though challenging for caregivers, staff, and teachers, these individuals deserve to be out of the corner, in the spotlight, and actively participating in a meaningful life.

TEAMability believes all individuals, including those with severe disabilities, can learn. A person with severe, combined disabilities can learn, provided an appropriate curriculum, use of enabling technology, skilled implementers, and specialized support.

TEAMability envisions people with severe, combined disabilities actively participating in their lives by having opportunities to control their environment, make choices, demonstrate preferences, and communicate at their individual level of ability with family, caregivers, and teachers.

TEAMability’s mission is to use an on-site and center-based transdisciplinary model of evaluation and  intervention to help people with severe disabilities participate optimally and actively in life at school, home, and in the community. Our mission is also to provide those services necessary to convey widespread recognition and understanding of the unique needs of this population.

TEAMability believes the transdisciplinary educational approach provides the best means for learning and ensuring an enhanced quality of life of people with severe, combined disabilities.
